Our Climate Adaptation Game is still available at NAi Booksellers and via our website.

The Climate Adaptation Game offers its players the opportunity to increase their understanding of various aspects of water management in relation to climate change and accompanying spatial (and urban) adaptation. This ‘serious game’ clarifies the complex relations which rule the overall water system and initiates a discourse between all parties involved.

Our book “Amphibious Housing in the Netherlands” can be purchased at NAi

The changing climate requires us to use and shape the built environment differently, including how we built houses and neighbourhoods. In our book “Amphibious Housing in the Netherlands” we explored how different amphibious housing typologies can be applied in different (urban) contexts to create attractive and resilient living environments.

The book can be purchased here.

Short term actions are urgent in order to ensure a safe and livable future

The updated climate scenarios for the Netherlands, which were published this week in the Klimaatsignaal’21 by the KNMI – Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, emphasize the urgency to address sea level rise . As part of the national ‘Kennisprogramma Zeespiegelstijging’, we explored the spatial consequences of different development directions for the long-term sea level rise. The developed research-by-design maps clearly show the urgency of short term actions in order to ensure a safe and livable future.

Final presentation of our Nature Based Solutions study for Kigali

What is the potential of nature based solutions to reduce floodrisk in Kigali and how can nbs be implemented in different types of urban areas of the city? These questions were answered in today’s final presentation of our NBS study, where we presented the final results to The World Bank, the City of Kigali and different stakeholders of the Government of Rwanda and the Rwanda Urban Upgrading Project II (RUDP-II).

The final report with the results of the study will be available soon!
